Ottomans, Ottoman Benches & Footstools — The Hardest-Working Small Piece in the Room

Furniture & Giftware' ottomans, ottoman benches and footstools bring the same standards as our lounges — plush velvet upholstery, gold and silver frame details, and shapes that hold their own in a considered room. The long, frame-based designs work as a bench ottoman at the end of a bed or beneath a window; the compact storage footstools tuck under a console when not in use.

Pair with: armchairs | lounges | velvet ottomans | throws | trays.

Visit our Melbourne showrooms or Sydney showroom to try them with the lounges they'll live beside. Open 7 days, no appointment needed.

Four Jobs, One Piece

The footrest: Pair with an armchair at matching or slightly lower seat height — your legs should extend comfortably, not climb.

The coffee table alternative: Add a large tray and an ottoman becomes a soft-edged coffee table — the designer's choice for homes with young children, and for smaller rooms where hard corners fight the walkways.

The extra seat: Kept under a console or beside the lounge, an ottoman is seating that appears when needed and disappears when not.

The end-of-bed piece: A long ottoman bench at the foot of the bed adds hotel polish and an ottoman bench seat for sitting, stacking and dressing. Size it 10–20cm narrower than the bed frame so it reads as a deliberate pairing.

Choosing Your Matching Footstool

Match the room's existing metals — gold frames warm a space, silver and black keep it contemporary. As for size: an ottoman used as a coffee table should sit at or just below your lounge's seat height and cover roughly half the lounge's length; a pure footstool can be far smaller. Velvet lovers, the velvet ottoman range is your dedicated collection.
