Chester Fluted Round Side Table - Walnut Veneer
A 50cm round side table with a travertine-look sintered stone top on a fluted walnut-finish drum, finished with a gold stainless steel band.
The smallest piece in the Chester range is the one that finishes the most rooms. Beside a sofa or an armchair it is the lamp table, the coffee-cup table, the place the book goes; beside a bed it is a bedside with more presence than a drawer unit. The fluted walnut-finish drum, gold-finish stainless steel band and light travertine-look stone top are the coffee table in miniature, so the two can share a living room without either competing.
At 50cm across and 60cm high it lands at the height of most sofa and armchair arms, which is the height a side table should be — a drink set down without reaching, a lamp at reading height. Buy one for the end of a sofa or a pair to flank a bed.
Will it fit your room?
The 60cm height suits sofas and armchairs with arms between 55 and 65cm high, and works as a bedside for beds with a mattress top around 55 to 65cm. The 50cm diameter takes a table lamp and a glass comfortably. As a pair either side of a bed or a sofa, it gives the room symmetry without the bulk of two cabinets.
Why the Chester works
Travertine-look sintered stone top — the warm look of light travertine in a dense sintered stone that shrugs off hot mugs and spills.
Fluted walnut-finish drum — a solid base with vertical fluting; no legs, nothing to catch.
Gold-finish stainless steel band — a slim ring at the base matching the Chester coffee table and range.
Side table or bedside — 60cm high suits sofa arms and mattress heights alike.
Delivered as a top and a base — the stone top and walnut-finish drum arrive separately and are brought together in place.
